About
Ani Agassi is a Los Angeles-based photographer and visual artist working across photography, film, and creative direction. Her work explores portraiture, fashion, and experimental imagery, with a particular interest in atmosphere, character, and the emotional language of an image.
With a background in graphic design and media production, Ani has developed a deep understanding of composition, color, light, and visual communication. She has an instinctive sense for how these elements come together to create a feeling. For her, a successful image is not simply about what is in the frame, but what the viewer experiences when looking at it.
Her professional experience spans design, photography, and video production, including work with Disney Channel and ABC Television Group. It has given her an understanding of both the artistic vision and industry standards required to bring creative concepts to life at a professional level.
Ani is also a design professor at the University of Redlands, where she teaches Entertainment Design. Having graduated from the same university in 2015 with a BFA in Graphic Design, she has come full circle, finding a special sense of purpose in sharing her knowledge, experience, and passion for design with the next generation of creatives.
Photography and film are equally central to her creative practice. She is drawn to projects that leave room for interpretation and collaborations with artists, designers, and brands that value a distinctive visual point of view.
“I understand how to create images that communicate, attract attention, and serve a purpose. But I also believe there is value in an image beyond what it can sell or explain. Not every image needs to sell something or explain itself. Some are simply meant to make you look twice, feel something, or see a familiar subject differently.”
Ani's work brings together technical understanding and artistic instinct, balancing the demands of professional visual production with a personal approach to storytelling.
